(explanation of the category name)

There is a probability theory that says that if an infinite number of monkeys are placed at an infinite number of typewriters, eventually one of them will bang out Hamlet.

Several years ago, I was working on an assigned project that could not be done. Not difficult, not “oh, you’re not trying hard enough” — but impossible! During this project, I was talking with my dad, who asked how work was going. I told him that my superiors were wanting the entire works of Shakespeare, and all they had given me was one dead monkey and a broken typewriter.

So “Dead Monkeys and Broken Typewriters” is my chronicling of funny, weird, or frightening stuff in the business world. It’s my own private Dilbert-land.
